Flying Field



Our flying field is located south of the Harrisonburg, Virginia, city limits off of U.S. Route 11. It is east of the highway directly behind the Village Inn motel & restaurant. The entrance to the field is across from (and just south of) the entrance to the Rockingham County Fairgrounds. It is marked by a street sign labeled "Tumbleweed Lane." The GPS coordinates of the field are 38° 22.98' North by 78° 55.26' West.



This field is for use only by members of the Valley R.C. Flying Club and accompanied guests. To fly you must be a member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) or the Model Aeronautics Association of Canada (MAAC). All flying must be done in accordance with the AMA Safety Code.
